Specifically, anthean wanted to know how to set up a system of paneling at her campus, where she is setting up a budding queer group. She’d remembered that I have mentioned helping speak at panels over much of last year through the Lambda Alliance, my friendly campus LGBTQA group, and thought it sounded like a good idea to try to do in her own group.
I took some time, answered the ask as thoroughly as I knew how, and figured all was good. Of course, Tumblr then kindly sent it to a third party altogether and subsequently deleted the whole thing before I could actually get it to her. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to it!
I do want to preface this post by making it clear that I’m not the person who organized the panels at my university—that would be Macy, this year’s Director of Education, who is totally awesome and incidentally knows a lot more about this than me. Macy, if you’re reading this and I’ve missed something big, please feel free to reblog and correct me! (Actually, if anyone in Lambda has something to add about paneling that I’ve missed, please reblog and say so.) This is just what I’ve picked up about how the organization runs from helping out now and again.
