Yeah, I wouldn’t dismiss the AAW. I admit I wish it didn’t link to AVEN as much as it did. I want to clarify the AAW is very much about inclusivity, and one of the key people involved in that has been the one to make the offer to help assist with what occurred on AVEN. An asexual site that attacks asexuals isn’t good for our community or our movement.
Please DO offer to help out with AAW, Writingfromfactx. <3 <3 <3
Sara Beth Brooks, right? She’s the other public face of AAW that I can see, and I do have a ton of respect for her and what she’s been trying to do.
I dunno. It’s going to depend on a lot of things, not least how much time I have coming up at the moment—my attention span for ace stuff has definitely taken a hit as I’ve had some big offline commitments pop up this year, especially with graduate school.
ETA: And thanks for commenting as someone involved with AAW, by the way! I’ve skirted around the edges of it but at this point I’m very much an outsider to the AAW and I think I count as one for AVEN too at this point, since as I mentioned I haven’t posted on AVEN since I left in 2010.
